Our method

What “sourced” actually means here

Anyone can put a footnote number next to a claim. This is how we keep ourselves honest.

  1. Start from the research

Every guide begins with the studies and official guidance themselves, not with recycled advice.

  2. Tag every source

Each entry in the source list is tagged by type (peer-reviewed research, regulators, professional bodies, institutions) so you can see what a claim rests on.

  3. Say where it runs out

Where the evidence is thin, preliminary or disputed, the guide says so in the text, rather than picking the tidier story.
